The Colorado Freeride Series (CFS) consists of three one-day entry-level events and the Championships for skiers and snowboarders, February 17-19, and March 10-12, 2006. This event takes place on the cliff-littered terrain of Snowmass.
Over the last few years the CFS has sold out every competition at 100+ competitors. The Colorado Freeride Championships is a stop on the IFSA North American Freeride Tour. This allows competitors to gain overall points for a national title, and therefore some of the best skiers/riders in the industry participate. This is truly the theater of the outrageous to the average viewer, as it requires cutting-edge competition from the participating athletes who are continuing to push the boundaries of their sport.
